I go by the moniker "Snail's House of Leaves" on the websites I would like people to find me on. I am not sure when exactly I came up with that specific order of those specific words but the earliest instance of me uttering it seems to be in a conversation I was having with a friend over discord in June of 2020. I vaguely recall a moment about a year later during the summer of 2021 in which I was having a heatstroke in the parking lot of my highschool and thought to myself "y'know it might be cool if I went by the name 'Snail's House of Leaves' like as an alias. It does seem to be an apt expression of an underlying motif I have noticed retroactively in my previous creations and plan on focusing more on in future projects, that of the conversion of contrasting or conflicting bodies of work. Mark Z Danielewski's novel House of Leaves, published in 2000 and being as dark and scary and wierd as hell and cool and interesting as it is with people using big words like 'ergodic' and 'metafiction' when talking about it and it's being referenced multiple times across several slenderverse projects for no real reason or at least any I can pick up on, being grafted onto Snail's House, a name ascribed to Japanese Electronic musician Keitaro Ujiie (who also goes by Ujico*), who's music can be described as 'Hyper-cute' and labeled as 'Kawaii Future Bass' due to its generally upbeat and oftentimes high-pitched chiptune melodies and vocals, presents an unlikely marriage between two bodies of work that would otherwise be unlikely to cross paths due to their contrasting if not outright conflicting vibes".
